Over 120 collectors profiled across five continents — a new portrait of a generation redefining what it means to collect art.
Hong Kong, June 2026 — LARRY’S LIST is proud to announce the publication of the NEXT GEN ART COLLECTOR REPORT, Volume 2, the sequel to its 2021 edition. Published in partnership with VFMK Verlag für moderne Kunst (Vienna), this new hardcopy edition profiles over 120 collectors, offering an expansive and nuanced portrait of the generation currently reshaping the global art world.
“What continues to stand out about this generation is how deliberately they collect,” says Christoph Noe, Co-Founder and Director of LARRY’S LIST. “These are collectors driven by intellectual curiosity and a search for personal identity, not by market logic or primarily financial gain. That clarity of purpose is what makes them so interesting to document, and so consequential for the art world.”
In-depth interviews anchor the edition, with featured collectors Lateefa Bin Hamoodah, Abigail Hakim, Maria Gregotti, Chris Lyons, and Zirui Zhuang.

Selected Key Findings
- Collecting is increasingly driven by intellectual and identity-driven motivations rather than investment logic, personal conviction, not primarily financial gain.
– A significant number of next gen collectors have moved beyond acquisition, establishing foundations, opening art spaces, and sitting on institutional acquisition committees.
– Regional identity plays a growing role: collectors are consciously championing their home scenes, making collecting an act of cultural stewardship.
– For many next gen collectors, art is the connective tissue of an entire way of living: shaping where they travel, how they design their homes, and who they spend time with.
– Peer networks and mentorship are as important as institutional access, with young patron groups and private collector initiatives growing in influence worldwide.
