Art Jakarta 2025 will take place from 3–5 October 2025 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, bringing together 75 notable galleries from 16 countries across Asia and beyond. Alongside the main fair, visitors can expect large-scale installations, collaborative programmes, and special presentations supported by leading partners. With this edition, the fair continues to showcase the resilience and vibrancy of Southeast Asia’s contemporary art scene.

A Truly Global Showcase

This year’s edition features the participation of major international galleries, including Esther Schipper (Berlin, Paris, New York, Seoul), Kaikai Kiki (Tokyo, founded by Takashi Murakami), and Tina Keng Gallery (Taipei). Their involvement underscores Art Jakarta’s growing importance in the international art calendar.

Jakarta as Southeast Asia’s Art Hub
Art Jakarta reflects the strength of Southeast Asia’s art ecosystem. With the participation of prominent galleries from Indonesia and abroad, the fair highlights the region’s increasingly vital role in the contemporary art market.

Special Presentations by Art Jakarta 2025 Partners

Lead partners contribute significant artistic content this year. Julius Baer presents works by Indonesian artist Eddie Hara, including the new piece “CALL 911. DESTROY BAD ART.” Bibit showcases Agus Suwage’s “Self Portrait and the Theater Stage” under the theme “Portrait of Possibilities.” Treasury unveils “Reserve of Care,” an installation by Azizi Almajid and Nuri Fatimah, winners of the Treasury Art Prize. Meanwhile, BCA features an installation by Muklay, created in collaboration with Palette Studio.

Monumental Works in the SPOT Section
The SPOT section focuses on special installations and large-scale works. This year it includes projects by Ardi Gunawan (ISA Art Gallery), Ipeh Nur (ara contemporary), Endry Pragusta (Rachel Gallery), Aditya Novali (ROH), and Adi Gunawan (SANKHARA Art).

Grassroots Energy with SCENE
SCENE is dedicated to artist groups and collectives. In 2025, it will feature 32 participants from cities across Indonesia, showcasing the diversity of practices beyond Jakarta and highlighting community-driven initiatives.

Cross-Cultural Collaborations in the AJX Programme

AJX brings together three important programmes. “Korea Focus” presents 12 Korean galleries, in collaboration with the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Arts Management Service. Manajemen Talenta Nasional (MTN) presents “Arus Baru (Rising Currents),” curated by Agung Hujatnika and featuring works by Indonesian artists. Natta-Cita Art Space (NCAS) from ISI Bali introduces Balinese contemporary art to the fair.

A Glimpse into the Future with Art Jakarta Papers 2026
Visitors will also encounter a preview of Art Jakarta Papers 2026, a new fair to be held on 5–8 February 2026, dedicated entirely to works on paper, from drawings and prints to sculptures and installations.
