We have come to episode 4 of Collector Cribs, in a modernist mansion, owned by star collectors Gayle and Paul Stoffel. Anchored by a Warhol above the fireplace at the centre, with a painting by Luc Tuymans or a metal sculpture by John Chamberlain on the sides, the living room is perfectly lit and shinning with awe, even though monochromatic. The Stoffels’ collection spans over 60 years of postwar art, including works by Ellsworth Kelly, Cy Twombly, and Sigmar Polke, among others.
