Collector Gary Nader Is Offering a Van Gogh-Inspired Botero Painting for Sealed Bid

Founder of Gary Nader Art Center, collector Gary Nader (see previous interview) has announced the Sealed Bid Offer, a unique approach to art, offering great masterpieces for the very knowledgeable collectors. The first auction will be launched from 7-12 December 2020, with a masterpiece— Fernando Botero’s “Girasoles After Van Gogh”, 1970.

The sealed-bid auction will be held weekly at www.garynader.com. It aims to create a new selling platform to showcase significant works of art to an exclusive audience, presenting exceptional works from modern and contemporary masters through a selective curatorial process.

Taking the similar yellow palettes, renowned Columbian painting and sculptor Fernando Botero reinterpreted Van Gogh’s iconic sunflowers with his own signature round and plump forms. “Girasoles After Van Gogh”, the large, impressive oil on canvas from modern master Fernando Botero’s best period, offered by Nader starts at $2 million. Any offers above this minimum price will be welcomed and considered irrevocable at the time of their submission. In the event of equal price offerings, collectors will be notified for a second round during one extra day.
